Vince MacLeod BA (Hons), MA - Early Years Lecturer

Vince is a qualified early years teacher and has experience of teaching children in the Reception and Year 1 age groups. He trained at Roehampton University’s Froebel College where he learned the value of children engaging in holistic, play-based learning, being connected with nature, acquiring problem-solving skills and building trusting relationships.

Within education, Vince is particularly interested in Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) and exploring how this impacts children’s learning and psychological growth. For his Master’s degree he conducted a research project around intervention methods to support self-regulation and inhibitory control and he is interested in conducting further research in this field.

Before moving into education, Vince had a previous career in recruitment advertising. During this time, he enjoyed assisting people with finding vocations that they were passionate about and helping them to develop skills so that they could thrive. He has also worked for a family as a childminder, managed children’s activity centres and taught canoeing in England and France.
