Taplins
In 2016, Norland was contacted by Taplins Nurseries in Southampton following an inadequate Ofsted inspection in one of their nurseries.
Taplins is a workplace nursery, part of the University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. Norland consultants commenced work with the nursery to support with action planning in order to improve the practice within the nursery. Over this time Norland worked directly with the team providing support and guidance, training sessions on key areas of staff development, and met with senior leadership teams and local authority to provide updates and reports identifying areas of improvement and areas for further development. In April 2018, the nursery was inspected and achieved a ‘Good’ rating. Since January 2018, Norland has been working with both Taplins nurseries to support ongoing governance of the settings, enhancing and developing practice.
