Alex Fereday - Facilities Manager and Staff Board Member

Alex Fereday joined Norland’s Human Resources, Resources and Compliance team in December 2020. As Facilities Manager, he is responsible for ensuring that all college buildings and facilities are maintained to a high standard and help to support the smooth running of Norland’s operations.

Alex has over 19 years’ experience working in facilities and health and safety management. Prior to joining Norland, he worked in the challenging environment of an underground fine wine storage facility. He was also actively involved in the local Mines Rescue group. Alex holds Nebosh qualifications in Occupational and Construction Health and Safety.

In his spare time Alex is a keen golfer and keep fit enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his wife and children. In 2013, after taking several months of paternity leave, he won the national Fantastic Father award and was featured in Mother & Baby magazine. In recent years, after giving up playing the sports himself, he has been involved in coaching young children’s rugby and football. Alex is also the staff representative on the Board of Directors.
