Norland is appealing to families in Bath and the surrounding area who need an extra pair of hands at home as it looks to fill student placements for September 2020.

Known for producing nannies to families around the world, including the Royal Family, Norland will be offering parents the chance to have future Norlanders look after their children. The students, who will have already carried out practical work in an early years setting, will be spending up to six weeks with chosen families, gaining experience and offering their high-level skills to families who might need additional help with childcare.

There are a variety of placements on offer, from daily placements for families with children under the age of four and residential placements for families in Bath and South West London with children under the age of five, who are able to accept a live in nanny.

Norland Principal, Dr Janet Rose, says: “Practical placements are an important way for our Norlanders to hone their skills in the real world and the reason why they’re so employable. Every year we look to pair up our students with local families for placements during the academic year so that they can pick up valuable skills based on the theory they’ve learnt as well as help families who might need extra support.”
